Aspire For Ramsbottom Appeal Gets Off to a Flying Start
Blessed with blue skies and sunshine, the launch of Aspire For Ramsbottom proved to be every bit the community event that its organisers had hoped for. Saturday, October 22 in the Memorial Gardens on Bridge Street saw around 500 people attend the official start of a campaign to raise £10,000 to save the spire of St Paul’s Church. The only spire in the town, it has stood at the very heart of Ramsbottom for 160 years and the Aspire For Ramsbottom appeal committee were keen to involve every part of the community in securing its future.
