Stuart Rothwell opened this well stocked wine merchant in 2008 and its taken the town by storm. The regular wine tasting evenings sell out every time and with daily deliveries from around the world its well worth popping in for a taste of the latest delivery.

At Walmsleys we have extended ourselves beyond the role of the traditional family butcher and taken the view of developing a range of products that inspire our customers and make it easier for them to source the ingredients they need to prepare a fine dining experience at home.

The provenance of our meat and traceability from farm to fork is something we’re passionate about, which is why we take great care in selecting our suppliers and regularly visiting their farms.

As well as being experts in the preparation of meat products, our friendly staff are more than happy to give advice on certain cuts of meat, or to prepare meat in a specific way for a chosen recipe. Additionally, we’re on hand with cooking instructions and a range of complimentary condiments from our deli selection.
