Farmers Markets

[ 14/02/2010; 14/03/2010; ] The farmers market is a monthly event held on the second Sunday of the month at the Market place (next to the Tilted Vase) and inside the Civic Hall. They offer a wide variety of local produce including fresh fish, seafood, meat, poultry, vegtables, fruit, pies, jams, bread and sweets. The market also offers lots of locally made home-made crafts and paintings.

Incredible Edible Ramsbottom Community Meeting

[ 22/03/2010; 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. ] Since the first "Big Dig" meeting at the end of February Incredible Edible Ramsbottom is starting to take shape. Local interest has continued to grow rapidly. People have offered all kinds of skills and we are getting some very exciting information on places we can actually start digging and planting!

Ramsbottom Annual Chocolate Festival 2010

[ 27/03/2010 9:00 am to 28/03/2010 5:00 pm. ] Indulge your taste buds in mouthwatering chocolate delights with the many free samples on offer and get your hands on exquisite Easter Eggs from master chocolatiers and chocolate related products (i.e. beauty products containing cocoa etc.). Due to the huge success of last years Festival, the organisers are looking to extend the festival over a weekend; looking at several ideas, including cookery demonstrations, evening dining experience, ELR Chocolate Express Train, Giant Easter Egg competition, wine tasting evening, World Record attempt, music and entertainment and much much more.

Marathon Challenge

[ 27/02/2010; 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. ] To celebrate Rotary's efforts in eliminating POLIO from all but three countries in the world. We will doing a 26 mile marathon but instead of one person doing 26 mil, 26 people will be doing one mile. Starts at the Ramsbottom Urn and goes as far as the Tesco store in Prestwich. There will be a display of Rotary and "End Polio Now" information at the Urn.

The Natural Health Clinic owned and run by Tracey Humphries and Tim Cappelli, is the venue for the British Heart Foundation ‘Heartstart UK’ course run by North West Ambulance Services Community First Responder volunteers.
