In June next year Jon Hilton from Harwood will attempt to emulate Michael Palin’s feat of 1988 by circumnavigating the globe in 80 days… but with a couple of minor differences - he will do it exclusively in a Microlight aircraft and in only 79 days! The current World Record for a flight of this type is 80 days. Unlike the current record holders - Indian Airforce pilots he’ll be going solo without the luxury of massive amounts of support.
