RamsbottomOnline's BIG WALK HOME

The Giant Easter Egg Competition

Bury Council’s Town Centres team is calling on all community groups, schools and youth organisations to take part in a challenge to make a 1 foot tall Easter egg, as part of the Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival.

The Giant Easter Egg competition sees participants make a large paper mache Easter Egg prior to the festival. The final designs will then be placed on display at Ramsbottom Civic Hall between 10:30am and 4pm on Sunday 28 March for judging. The best design will win a hamper packed full of goodies from the Chocolate Café.

Groups interested in entering the competition are asked to register by contacting towncentresteam@bury.gov.uk or calling 0161 253 5327

This is just one of the many events taking place at this year’s Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival, which takes place on 27 and 28 March in venues across Ramsbottom town centre.

Plans for this year’s festival include a chocolate market, a world record attempt to see how many Ferrero Rocher can be eaten in a minute, plus competitions all with chocolate themed prizes.
