Just a point of fact please.I was born in Ramsbottom and I can assure you that it is not a village. In recent years it has become a quaint town to go to on the steam train from Bury and has a history which includes The Grant Brothers and Sir Robert Peel but it was mainly a cotton town like many other towns in this area.
