At Walmsleys we have extended ourselves beyond the role of the traditional family butcher and taken the view of developing a range of products that inspire our customers and make it easier for them to source the ingredients they need to prepare a fine dining experience at home.
The provenance of our meat and traceability from farm to fork is something we’re passionate about, which is why we take great care in selecting our suppliers and regularly visiting their farms.
As well as being experts in the preparation of meat products, our friendly staff are more than happy to give advice on certain cuts of meat, or to prepare meat in a specific way for a chosen recipe. Additionally, we’re on hand with cooking instructions and a range of complimentary condiments from our deli selection.

Went to the shop this Saturday and as always the service was excellent and the produce excellent. The bacon I bought was very tasty and lasted less than 24 hours in our fridge! The burgers were very lean and kept their shape after cooking. Prices were very reasonable and much better value than the supermarkets.

Always a winner at Walmsleys…!
really good quality meat – try the salt and pepper chicken wings…. I just wish they would open SATURDAY AFTERNOONS!!! We would have made it there about twice as often (and avoided the supermarkets loads more) if they were…saturday mornings is time for well deserved lie in, and we’ll head to rammy markets around lunchtime-ishhh, at which point we have a “DOH!” moment when we realise we have missed the butchers… again!
Let’s start the ‘Walmsleys please open all day Saturdays campaign…!’

I love this shop. They do the best sausages in the world ever. Their caramelised onion ones are worth a visit to Rammy alone….
I think those that work behind the counter call me Mrs Sausages! Not to my face obvs..they are much to polite!

Their carmelised onion sausages ARE the best ever. They’re so good, in fact, that I feel like we should all stop singing their praises or there won’t be any left for me or Mrs. Sausages!
A lovely all-around, old-fashioned butcher with excellent service and top quality meat. We are lucky to have them!

I love walmsleys sausage so thick firm and meaty mmmm. I love there pate too well worth the prices and the eye candy behind the counter gets my 52 year old ticker going anyway. Keep up the good work boys dont break my saturday morning routine x M

We love everything at walmsleys especially salt and pepper chicken breasts and the sausages are the best ever!! Oh and not forgetting the homemade pies! And a big thankyou for a lovely christmas ham.
